It's a New Nigerian World for London

The Bank of Industry have created New World Nigeria to market the diverse and vibrant Nigerian economy at the Olympic Games. The initiative promotes investment and business opportunities for investor and business of all sizes.

The initiative is the culmination of three key interventions, designed to:

  • stimulate investment
  • develop business links
  • share sporting and cultural expertise

There are three events that make up the programme.

The first is in Guildford, Surrey where Team Nigeria have their base camp. Between the 15th and 17th July, in collaboration with the Surrey Chamber of Commerce, there will be a conference showcasesing Nigerian products and business opportunities across sectors and in SMEs.

There will also be G-Live events which will include:

  • Trade & Investment Conference
  • Sector specific interactions
  • Corporate matching
  • Key presentations on Nigeria
  • Executive Round Table Discussions

New World Nigeria is also the theme under which Africa’s most dynamic country is showcasing its uniqueness at the Theatre Royal, Stratford East. This event between 19th July and 12th August combines the energy of Nigerian Sport and Culture, with distinctive Nigerian products to celebrate a year of outstanding achievements. The third event is the Business and Investment Summit. The Business and Investment Summit between 30th July and 1st August will offer a platform for stakeholders, global and potential investors to explore the diverse sectors of New World Nigeria and the key investment opportunities it represents. On 30th July delegates will get the opportunity to attend a formal dinner with President Goodluck Jonathan.
